Drawing with Pen & Ink

Join professional artist Rachel Collier-Wilson to learn about drawing with ink in a relaxed and inclusive environment.

During the session, working with dip pens and black ink on paper, various methods of creating lines will be introduced and practised. These will include creating shapes, form and texture using this fun and versatile medium.

Rachel will start with a demonstration of ink drawing and then everyone will work on warm up techniques and practicing using the pen. Then you will be able to work on a more sustained animal drawing and Rachel will be able to provide as much or as little tuition you would like.

We will work using photo references using these methods, please bring along your own photos, but there will be ones available. You can draw first in pencil before committing to drawing with ink.

Beginners welcome – this course is suitable for all abilities. Rachel will provide dip pens and black ink for participants. (Included in the Price) Paper will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

The workshop location

John Lewis Norwich Community Space, next to the Benugo Cafe on the first floor. Includes a voucher to get a hot or soft drink. Also parking is free for participants for the duration of the course.

No physical tickets will be sent out to you, but I am happy to answer any questions before the workshop via email.

Please note that workshop places are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, I will re-book you to another time slot if I can, but due to venue costs, this will be a £5 fee.
